My eyes were closed but I wasn’t asleep. I could hear Akashi’s slow and long breaths. What seemed like seconds to me, turn out to be half an hour. The afternoon bell rang and my eyes opened. It was time for class. I looked over at Akashi whose eyes were still closed.
“Akashi-san?” I whispered without moving. “It’s time for class.”
He mumbled something that I couldn’t understand, and went back to sleep.
I sighed. I poked his cheek and smiled. He has a good complexion. There were no signs of pimples or freckles and his cheeks were a bit flushed from the hot weather. I moved his red bangs away from his face. His hair is incredibly soft for a guy’s. He opened his left eye and looked at me with his golden jewel. I jerked my hand back and grabbed the empty juice box beside me and pretended to drink from it. I sucked on the straw and drank air.
“Were you staring at me this whole time?” he asked quietly.
I directed my eyes back to Akashi and saw that he was moving away from me.
“N-no! I fell asleep too,” I said biting my straw.
He looked at the ground and smiled. He then laid down on my thigh with my legs stretched out. My face burned. I was afraid that steam would come off it!
He held up his undrunk juice box to me, “You want it?” he asked shielding his eyes with his left arm from the sun rays. “I know that the air inside that thing tastes pretty bad.”
I coughed suddenly, and put the juice box right beside me again.
“No no, it’s okay. Besides,” I said. “It’s time for class.” I indicated at my digital wristwatch.
He took a peek at my watch and closed his eyes again, “Can’t I just stay here with you?” he mumbled.
“Eh?” What was he saying? That he wanted to stay here with me, skipping class? He never skipped class.
“You never skip class,” I said translating my thoughts into words.
“Well,” he said opening his eyes. His eyes looked so kind this time. He gently held my cheek with his soft hands, “There’s a first time for everything.”
He sat up and quickly kissed me on the cheek. He smirked at me, then ruffled my hair.
“Let’s do this again tomorrow, ____,” he stood up and walked away.
It all happened so fast that I forgot to react. I stood there frozen until he was out of sight. Then I fell down on the grass and looked up at the sky. It all felt… natural. I didn’t feel like squealing or rolling around in happiness—I mean, I am happy. But it felt like it was normal for him to do that. Like.. I saw it coming. I smiled at the thought and replayed what happened today over and over and over and over again in my head until I went home, and fell asleep.
I woke up the next day with my mom calling me downstairs,
“____!! Wake up! You have a visitor!!” she shrieked.
That woman can wake the entire neighbourhood up.
I groaned and dragged my body to get dressed. I brushed my hair and put it up in a bun. I jogged downstairs with my schoolbag over my shoulder and stopped at the last step.
“Akashi-san?” I said in surprise. I was fully awake now.
He was seated on the couch facing me and was drinking from teacup. He put the cup down on the saucer before he stood up to greet me.
“What are you doing here?” I asked.
“I decided that we should go to school together from now on,” he said casually.
“Ah, yes! Why didn’t you tell me you had a boyfriend, ____?” I didn’t even notice my mom until she said that.
She was standing next to the couch Akashi sat on. From the looks of it, she was probably doting over him.
“B-b-boyfriend!?” I sputtered.
I looked over at Akashi who observing the house. He wasn’t paying attention to us at all.
“Yeah!” she said enthusiastically. “Akashi-kun here said that you two were ‘going out’,” she said quoting the last words with her fingers.
I looked over at Akashi again and saw him looking at his watch. He looked up and smiled at my mom,
“I’m sorry, Mrs. ____, but we have to go or else we’ll be late for basketball practice,” he said in a tone I’ve never heard before. It was a… sweet tone.
I looked over at the wall clock, 6:32.
“Wait what!?” I looked over at the clock then at Akashi, then at my mom. “It’s six-thirty!” I exclaimed.
“____! Shh! You’ll wake the entire neighbourhood!” my mom said in a half-whispered, half-yelling tone. “Well, if you young’uns have to go, then go~” she was smiling at me and Akashi.
This was not the woman that I live with.
When we got outside of the house, Akashi let a breath out.
“Are you okay?” I asked him.
He looked at me, “Is your mom always energetic in the morning?”
I chuckled, “Sorry about that.”
“It’s okay,” he said. “Shall we go?”
“We shall,” I responded.
He gazed at my hand and slipped his under mine. He looked at me again, “Is this okay?”
My heart pounded, but I went along.
“No,” I said.
I enjoyed the look on his face when I said that.
He was about to let go, but I locked fingers with him, “Like this,” I said holding our hands up together.
He grinned, “You’re a smart one aren’t you, ____?”
“Just a little bit,” I said.
He swept my bangs aside and kissed my forehead.
“Let’s go,” he said.

I am trying to concentrate in studying this boring subject, Math. Next week will be our finals, and I am very anxious about it because there were only 2 meetings left for my teacher to explain all lessons, but what keeps bugging me at the meantime is the pair of eyes looking at me intensely.
“Seijuro, can you stop staring at me?” I said looking across his side. He smirked and shot me a mischievous look.
“[Name], I’m not looking at you,” he smirked, I blushed and loo

"Nice pun,but you can't make me stop playing this drooling games."you stuck out your tongue at him and continued playing.
